What is Covalent bonding

What is Covalent bonding?

Answer: The chemical bonding occurs due to mutual sharing of  electron pairs of two or more atoms of different elements is called covalent bonding.

By mutual sharing of electron pairs atom attain noble gas configuration. e.g. In Hydrogenmolecule (H2), the two H-atoms combine by covalent bonding (H-H).
